About

One of the few places offering both levels under one roof

Autumn Ridge is a senior living community in Herculaneum, Missouri, offering Independent Living and licensed Residential Care on the same seven and a half acre property. Which matters more than it sounds, because it means changing needs do not have to mean changing towns.

Who we are

A community, not a facility

We are proud to be one of the few apartment communities offering two levels of residency: Independent Living and Residential Care. Every resident is different, and what we try to do is give each of them the help and the resources they need to enjoy life, without giving them more of either than they asked for.

The property is quiet. There is a garden and seven and a half acres of ground that residents use to spend real time outside. The activities schedule is continuously full: games, holiday parties, monthly live entertainment. The point is not volume, it is helping everyone find something they enjoy.

We are minutes from restaurants, pharmacies and shopping centres, which makes errands and day trips straightforward rather than an expedition.

The hard part

On deciding it is time

We understand that people want to stay in their own homes as long as they can. That is not stubbornness, it is reasonable, and for many years it is the right call.

What changes the arithmetic is when personal safety, healthy socialisation and proper diet start being neglected at the same time. Individually each is manageable. Together they compound, and the risk of something serious rises quickly. At that point a decision is required that works for the individual and for the family worrying about them, and putting it off is itself a decision.

Nobody at Autumn Ridge is going to pressure you through that. But we will talk about it honestly, including telling you when we think the answer is not us.

If you are somewhere in this conversation

These are the questions families ask when they are still deciding whether to start. There is no wrong time to ask them.

My cousin lives at Autumn Ridge. It has been a god send for her as well as our family. We love the employees, great meals, it's one big happy family. They have been so helpful guiding us and recommending insurance options, wellness checks, transportation. My cousin has made many friends and the living quarters are spacious, bright and cheery. We are blessed to have found such a place for our loved one.

A simpler next step

Ready to see if Autumn Ridge feels like home?

Tour the community, meet the people who make it special, or call us with a question. We will help you take the next step at the pace that feels right.

My mother needs help with her medications. Is that something you do?

Yes. That falls under our Residential Care level, which is state licensed and includes medication management along with 24-hour associates on site. Would it help if I walked you through what changes between Independent Living and Residential Care?

Yes, and what does it cost?

A real exchange pattern. Ask your own above.
